Photo of the Week: A Traditional Hungarian Meal

While I was visiting Budapest, I had the opportunity to try some delicious traditional Hungarian meals! This meal was vegan (meaning: with no animal products, like meat, cheese, or butter, at all!) and was composed of peppers stuffed with bulgur, a type of Middle Eastern durum wheat grain similar to rice, plated with roasted potato, radish, yellow beet, arugula, lettuce, and a tomato-based sauce.

  1. This doesn't look very good but you said it tastes delicious. How do you get yourself to try something new they doesn't look very good and you don't know how it will taste?

    1. Hey Avery, admittedly this photo/angle isn't very flattering in showing off this meal. I think just being open to trying new things is very important and helps expand your life experience! I am always willing to try something new, even if it doesn't "look very good", because you never know how something will be until you try it! It's never good to make presumptions, because then you'll never get a chance to find out if you do end up liking it!

    1. I will admit that this photo/angle isn't very flattering in showing off this meal, but I'm also always willing to try something new, and this was definitely something new for me, and I ended up loving it! :)
